What Multicell does
Multicell holds the whole shape of a job in one place, so the same information is never captured twice.
- Clients. Multicell stores your client list with contact and billing details, and links every project and invoice back to the client it belongs to.
- Projects and tasks. Multicell breaks a job into projects and the tasks inside them, so a quote and an invoice both draw on the same record of what was actually done.
- Materials and labour. Multicell records the materials and hours allocated to each task, which is what makes a job costed rather than estimated.
- Quotes and invoices. Multicell produces branded PDF quotes, invoices and statements from the work already on the job, carrying your own logo.
- Opt-in extensions. Multicell ships a small base product and keeps industry-specific features as extensions a company turns on when it wants them, including a service catalogue, a calendar and a public client booking form.
Who Multicell is for
Multicell is built for South African businesses of roughly 1 to 20 people who are currently stitching a spreadsheet, WhatsApp, a calendar and a separate accounting tool together by hand.
- Trades and field service: electricians, plumbers, builders, shopfitters, cleaning companies and IT support.
- Appointment and booking businesses: salons, beauty and massage studios, and any business whose clients book a slot in advance.
What Multicell is not
These are the honest limits. If one of them rules Multicell out for you, it is better that you know now.
- Multicell is not accounting software. Multicell produces quotes and invoices, but Multicell does not do bookkeeping, VAT returns or bank reconciliation, and Multicell does not replace Xero or Sage.
- Multicell has no native mobile app. Multicell runs in a mobile browser and is built to work on a phone, but Multicell is not available in the Apple App Store or on Google Play.
- Multicell is not available outside South Africa. Pricing is in South African Rand only, and the terms of service restrict use to within South Africa.
- Multicell has no single sign-on. Multicell does not support SAML, Okta or Google Workspace SSO, and Multicell does not offer custom permission matrices.
- Multicell is not an enterprise platform. Multicell is built for small teams, and Multicell is sold with best-effort email support and no service level agreement.
What Multicell costs
Multicell has one price and no tiers to decode. The first 2 users of a company are free forever, with no credit card required and no time limit. Every user beyond the first 2 costs R1,000 per user per month. So 3 users is R1,000 per month, 4 users is R2,000 per month, and 5 users is R3,000 per month.
Prices are in South African Rand. Tegium Systems is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and no VAT is shown on an invoice. If Tegium Systems registers for VAT in future, VAT will be added and shown separately with reasonable notice.
Employees who never sign in do not need a paid seat. A business can record staff against jobs without those staff occupying a seat, so the price follows the number of people who actually log in.
Multicell and POPIA
